Free upgrade is a long way from being free

I would never ever deal with this organisation again, after reserving a car one month prior to use, I turn up to find that they do not have the car I want but the great news is that I will get a "free" upgrade. My free upgrade took my cost from $1400 to $2400 when I returned the vehicle. The free upgrade does not include the uplift in insurance, so I got a car I did not want (15 seater when I only required 8). What is more they had to clean the vehicle when I got to Florida after a 14 hour flight I was stood waiting for two hours. To further add insult, they offered me the reservation at half price due to the wait which they denied at the point I returned the vehicle and when I would not sign the paperwork because I had a flight to catch back to the UK - guess what.... They said they were going to call the cops! Do your own due diligence, this Company are a bunch of sharks!

The worst car rental place ever in life

I booked a online reservation thorough Kayak I got the confirmation confirming the car and my reservation stating that unlimited miles. When I go to pick up the car it is a fly by night car rental place first off I couldn't find the place because my confirmation says one name and the sign outside the place says a different name I go ask the clerk is this correct place she says yes and then when they held the money on my card it is a totally different name with that so this place has three names not sure is that because they have gotten so many complaints.I should have ran then. I go to retrieve the car the clerk began to tell me that I don't have unlimited miles I show her my confirmation which stated UNLIMITED MILES. She began to put in the reservation but can't figure it out then she calls the manager who is out of town so that means there's no one on the management team in house. She says he said that the unlimited miles is only if you fly in I say no I made this reservation because of this or I wouldn't have wasted my time with you all. I ask to speak to the manager forgetting there's no manager in the store the other clerk Brandy proceeds to say he's not going to take person call this is not a person call this is business. They finally call him and he says I can but 15 cents per mile really. I said no I booked this reservation because of this. Needless to say they was not interested in keeping money from walking out the door. When I get the car for one day they give me a car that looks like it has been wrecked, the oil is over the limit, the wheel shakes when you are driving no maintenance on the cars what so ever which is really dangerous.I will never ever in my life go here again and I advised anyone else it's not worth the time and hassle nor your money.

I broke a taillight and it cost 1100.

EZ charged me 100 for a phone call. Tacked on other fees my insurance wouldn't pay.

Also they would't recognize the price they had posted on Travelocity. I would walk before Irented a car from them.

READ EVERY WORD OF THE RENTAL CONTRACT!!

At the rental counter when picking up the car, the representative asked if we needed to purchase an EZPass. We're like, what's an EZPass? (It was a payment arrangement for toll roads.) We said we didn't know if we needed one or not, so the rep asked if we planned to travel to the Keys. We said no, so he said we'd be fine without one. So in our travels we come across toll roads with no booth or basket for paying tolls. They're apparently charged to the license plate, and we assumed the rental company would tack it on to our bill, no big deal. The big deal is THIS RENTAL COMPANY CHARGED US $25 IN ADDITION TO THE TOLL EACH TIME DROVE ON ONE OF THOSE ROADS, EVEN THOUGH WE DIDN'T GO TO THE KEYS!! So... this company appears to be inexpensive but more than makes their money in other ways. To make matters worse, when I called to ask them to credit the administrative charges they hid behind the contract, which apparently "clearly states" what the charges will be. No, we didn't read the contract, but no average, reasonable customer does, especially after being told by the rep that we don't need an EZPass! They would NOT take my word for it, and chastised us about not bringing it to their attention at the end of the rental. The guy said this happens all the time...then do something about it! Train your people NOT to minimize the EZPass, or make it mandatory and include it in the rental cost. Hint: PEOPLE WHO RENT CARS FROM YOU GENERALLY WILL NOT KNOW WHAT FLORIDA TOLL ROADS THEY MIGHT DRIVE ON. Ever hear of the phrase "the customer is always right"? Well, in this case, the customer was WRONG in what rental company they chose! Oh, I forgot to mention, the car came with only 1/2 tank of gas. That we did call about right away and they did handle it properly.

You're right read it. I'm one of those people who when I give my credit card I read before I sign.

Fees add up and companies know people won't read it.

This is where they make money. You learned your lesson now you will read the fine print.

The worst fly by night car rental place ever

I made reservation on line to rent a car I received my confirmation and everything it also said unlimited miles is included on my confirmation when I get to the place to pickup the car it was a totally different story. They wanted to charge 15 cents a mile and not honoring what was said on my email confirmation. The clerk called the manager who was out of town let me add so there's no management team on site. He tells her that's not honored. She hangs up and tell me what he said. I said no I am entitled to free miles as it stars when I booked or I wouldn't have waisted my time with you all. I ask to speak to a manager I was told I can come back when he was in o said no I would like to talk to him now so of course they had to call him again he preceded to tell me that the wording on my receipt is not honored because I didn't fly in to Jacksonville what are you serious. Then they give me a car that looks like its been wrecked already.

EZ Rent a Car Tampa

Don't use this company. Unorganized!! Reserved a convertible NOT there. They promised to deliver me a Mustang later that day. They never called, I had to call them. No convertible!! Next day they delivered a Mitsubishi. Then to top it off the driver left his personal keys in the car. I had to wait for the driver to return later that day to retrieve his own keys. They were rude on the phone and left me on hold forever. They SUCK!! The only thing they did that was good was to put me in a 2012 Hyundai Genesis while waiting for the convertible to return.
