LONG WAIT

In show up to pick up my rental reservation and there are 10 people ahead of me. There are 3 people at the desk with no customers attending to them. There is a manager, dressed in street clothes, running around like a chicken with her head cut off. The WAIT TIME IS OVER TWO HOURS!!! This is unacceptable. How do you keep your business running??

If I could leave zero stars I would. I rent cars on a regular basis. This place is horrible. Reserved a Rav 4. Got there they said the Rav 4 wouldn’t work for where I was going, Estes Park. I had never been so I took there word for it. I was given a GMC Yukon for $350 more than the Rav. The vehicle had tons of damage that I noted. Major noticeable damage. Apparently there must have been a small ding on the hood that I didn’t see or note. Upon returning the vehicle the attendant tried to say I had caused hail damage to the vehicle. It did not hail at all while I had the vehicle, It had one ding. I would think if it hailed, as suggested there would be multiple dings. The attendant was yelling at me that I caused damage and was pointing out previous damage that I had marked. He was very unreasonable and rude. I have pictures of the vehicle and the alleged damage. I am hoping that this does not go any further than a rude employee. If I am held responsible for damage that I did not cause. We will be going to court. Unreal!!!!!!!! On top of that there were tons of Ravs and smaller vehicles in Estes Park. It was the perfect bait and switch. Only hail reported in the area was July 4th and 5th. Car was rented July 10th- 14th.

We rented a care on September 11, 2019 at the Orlando Airport. MCOEZ-293037 the car was not clean and did not have a full tank of gas. We did not know that it was a Diesel. This car on the road sounded like a truck, we kept getting a message that it had snow tires and should not be driven more that 55 miles per hour. This car should never have been part of your fleet. When we got home from the air port the tire was low. We filled it every day for a week. Since we had another week we did not want to keep filling the tire, so we called and spoke with a customer service representative. She was not very helpful. We told her about the condition of the car a tire. She wanted us to drive the car back sixty miles to the airport to bring it back and we would get an exchange vehicle. We had to pay tolls both ways, which we felt was unfair. We drove the car back to the airport for the exchange. The young lady that helped us there was Dennis Soriano, she was very helpful, unlike the person we spoke to on the phone After she spoke to her supervisor. She told us we would get a free day discount and that we did not have to bring the car back with a full tank of gas. We have rented from EZ our last three trips to Florida. We feel that what was offered to us was not fair. I do not think that we will be renting from EZ again.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THEY STEAL FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THE DISABLED.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I rented a car from them when my daughter and I went to Texas. I did it online so all I had to do was pick it up. I got the car for $255 for 5 days. When I got to the rental car place in Dallas Texas the man behind the counter said initial here, here and here. So I did well those initials cost me $500. He never said why I was putting my initials there (I thought they were standard.) When I dropped the car off i see they charged me for $755 ($500 more then they were suppose to.) I called to find out and they were rude and very unprofessional. They have video cameras there why are they not seeing that they are not informing people what they are being charged for. Then they say well it's a legal document, so you feel screwed. I will never use this Company or Advantage (sister company.) I will make sure I tell as many people as possible. I am also reaching out to the news, because they are stealing and getting away with it. That $500 means a lot to a disabled person I will go without medication because of a rental car that was suppose to only be $255. Something needs to change.

Stay away from this rental agency!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
When my friend, and I went to pick up a rental car your on-site customer service representative offered a managers special, which they said was $12 less a day than the car we were going to rent, so we took it. Went to the car, and it had significant damage on the driver's side of the car. It had a huge dent, scratches, and the inside was filthy, but we thought that's was why the discount. In addition we were told it was going to be a RAV4, and it was a Subaru Outback. We were charged an upgrade fee of $12/day instead of the discount! Your customer service representative folded up my paperwork, and handed it to me. She did not review any of the charges on the paperwork, and now, because I signed and noticed the charges were inaccurate later I'm held responsible for the fee. In the end I know I should have looked at the paperwork, but she folded it up and handed it to me. We were excited to be at our destination. I was trusting your representative to give me accurate information. Believe me, I won't be making this mistake again, but I would like to think that your representative may have made a mistake, and you would like to fix it. Now after calling your customer service department that is not the case. The only explanation you offered was that I sign the paperwork, and so I was therefore responsible for the charges. You didn't even entertain another option! No apology , Etc. My friend that was with me on the trip heard the exact same spiel of the $12 a day discount. We feel completely deceived by your company, and will be filling out numerous reviews on numerous sites to tell people to stay away from Ez Car Rentals!!

Worst experience ever

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Rented a car from ez car rental Raleigh-Durham International Airport. We went to take our car back only to find it closed. They had no business renting us car know what time our flight left at 5:30 and their office did not open until five. Caused us to miss flight and had to pay again for a later flight. To top it off they kept the deposit as well. Called them to let them know that we left car in airport parking gargage since their location was secluded and didn’t want to leave car and key in unsafe place. When called to tell them, person gave me attitude. Again the worst experience and they said they would call never did and took deposit.

Ez Rent A Car - Thieves stole $251, Phoenix, AZ i ended up paying more than my flight for an...
I also got screwed at the Phoenix, AZ branch by the airport. Paid for my EZ rent a car reservation through priceline, it was nearly as much as my flight. upon picking up the car, they wanted my credit card info to charge deposit of 200 that they explained will be returned. Ok,i gave it to them. THEN, they tried to get me to buy insurance. Be very careful here. I refused, i said i have my own insurance. they said i must pay for a waiver?? why? i have my own insurance, end of story. they said it only costs $25--they led me to believe it's a nominal one-time $25 fee. they didnt tell me it was 25 a day and thus charged my credit card around $451. why do i need to pay to waive insurance everyday? they returned the 200 deposit but got away with $251. they refused to refund me. Thieves!

SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! I made my reservation through Expedia, and was really happy with the rate of $40 a day. Once I got to the pickup location, first, the guy was the most unprofessional guy, leaning back in his chair with his feet on the counter, casually opening some container with fruit in it, sharing with someone else, and being uncooperative. It was 9pm. I was given an estimate of $84.12, which included liability insurance of $14.99, which was my option, toll pass (which was pushed by the counter person and didn't even need) at $9.99. I left the airport in the car, and it had already started raining pretty bad. It seems that the seal on the car door wasn't right, because it started leaking straight on me. I immediately called their 800 number, which by the way, is a hot mess to get through and at some point I even heard an option of "if you got a home bill collections letter" and "if you need an attorney", press such and such number. I finally get through an operator and she says I have to call back in the morning to see if they have another car to exchange it for. I ended up keeping the car and driving the whole next day 8 hours to Atlanta. I tried several times to call their customer service number to let them know I'd be there right on time, but never got a person. I finally get to the location, only to find that the EZ rentacar booth was closed, lights off, and no person in sight and no sign. They are listed to be open 24 hours. I went to another agency booth and they told me I had to turn the car in with a different company. Getting around the Atlanta airport to "the other company" took almost 30 minutes. Once I got there, I had to wait another 25 minutes for the lady to process the return. She just handed me a receipt at some point in between other clients and that was it...until I noticed that the "new" and previously undisclosed amount, came to $137.18. Not only did they charge me for the (unnecessary and unrequested) toll pass, and liability insurance, both per "calendar day" instead of a 24 hour rental (total scam), but they tacked on a bunch of other bogus charges, like a "tire battery fee" and some "concession fee", PLUS, they had the audacity to charge me $13.33 for a one hour late drop off fee. When I called their customer service, and finally got a person, all she kept saying is that they have my signature and can charge me anything they want. She REFUSED for 45 minutes to let me talk to a manager, saying "at this company, it is not possible to speak with a manager". She finally took off the one hour charge (how gracious), and never even addressed the fact that they gave me a messed up car. My phone was plugged in the whole way for GPS and kept getting kicked off. Such a crap car (Kia). I did call my cc company and they are disputing the bogus charges. We'll see. Meanwhile, save yourself the headache and go with a reputable company. Even my cc company felt that there is something fishy about this company and the way they scam people.

We rented a car in Seattle. My main complaint is not being informed of possible toll roads in the area. Not being given a map, and definitely not being informed of what to do in case we went thru a toll road. I have received a bill for the toll cost, which I do not mind paying. What I do mind paying is the $75.00 service charge to process the toll bills. Ours tolls came to $20.40. I have received a bill for $95.40. I intend to dispute this. Happy to pay the toll not this outrageous administration fee. I have had to do lots of searching to find the company phone number to actually dispute this. And I intend to. Sandra Salimbeni

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM RODNEY FIGUEROA 9/10/18 FT LAUDERDALE AIRPORT

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM RODNEY FIGUEROA 9/10/18 My wife and I reserved a car (medium sedan) with this company for a week. When we got to the airport, E-Z Rent a Car didn't have any cars but vans and convertibles. We explained that we reserved a sedan and that we were on time, but they had already rented our car to someone else. We ended up getting a convertible for $10 extra/day until they had our car available. We went back to change the car and they told us we needed to open a new contract and needed to give a second $200 deposit. When we disagreed with this decision and asked to talk to a "manager", we explained the situation to RODNEY FIGUEROA. Instead of explaining us their error and having an apologetic attitude, he was very rude and kept answering to our questions by saying "This is what is going to happen: You will start a new contract and give another deposit". After realizing that there was no ability to understand the situation or admit an error, from RODNEY FIGUEROA; I decided to follow their "standard" process and begin a new contract. I only asked to see in writing that my two (2) $200 deposits were going to be given back. RODNEY FIGUEROA denied my request and just told me read the contract (which didn't mention the deposit at all). Luckily for us, a different employee approached us, apologized and offered to give us any car they had for the original price we got during our reservation. Our overall experience wouldn't deserve less than 3 starts if it wasn't for RODNEY FIGUEROA's rude discourteous behavior, lack of manners, unreasonable attitude, and absolutely zero problem solving abilities
